A drug trafficker was arrested and narcotic drugs worth lakhs of rupees in international market, seized from UP Haryana border under Jhinjhana police station in Shamli district, police said today.
Acting on a tip off, police nabbed one Satish and seized 18 quintal doda post from his vehicle last evening, they said.
Satish, a gang member of the inter-state drug traffickers, was carrying the narcotics from Dehradun to Karnal through UP, police said, adding that he was caught during checking.
Police has registered a case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) in this connection.
