: Seeking total prohibition in Tamil Nadu and change in the state Government's liquor policy on the lines of Kerala, Tamil Nadu Toddy Movement today said it would organise a one-day fast in Chennai on January 21 .
The fast, in which leaders and workers of like minded organisations will participate, is expected to put pressure on the authorities concerned to find a solution on the issue, which TTM has been demanding for the last few years, its general secretary S Nallasami told reporters here today.
The government should follow the model adopted by Kerala to implement total prohibition in the State, he said.

TTM also reiterated its challenge to give Rs 10 crore reward to those who proved that liquor supplied through the Government-run TASMAC and imported ones are better than toddy.
Nallasami invited all the 234 MLAs and 39 MPs elected from Tamil Nadu to utilise this opportunity and put forward their debate.
