A 14-year-old boy was killed while 12 others were injured when a wall collapsed in Daurala village under Nakud police station, police said today.
Vishal, son of one Rakesh died while 12 other children were injured when the wall collapsed and fell on them as they gathered to hear a DJ in a passing marriage procession yesterday, SP Jagdish Sharma said.
The incident took place when buffaloes, tied to the wall, panicked and started running helter-skelter as loud music was played by the DJ, leading to the wall collapse, he said.
The children were rescued by the villagers and were taken to a health centre, Sharma said, adding that Vishal's body has been sent for postmortem.
