The incident took place when about 40 employees of a prawn hatchery were going to work in their company bus, they said, adding that the deceased was identified as Meesala Appala Raju (20).
The speeding bus first hit an electric pole and after going some distance, fell into a ditch and overturned, they said.
While 11 of the critically injured were admitted to the King George Hospital here, others sustained minor injuries, they said.
The accident may have been caused due to drunk driving, they added.
