1 gang member nabbed for duping youths by promising govt jobs

A woman member of a gang was today arrested in Uttar Pradesh by Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police for allegedly duping youths by promising them government jobs.

Sakshi Thakur was arrested and fake appointment letters, government letterheads, seal and other items were recovered from her possession, police said.

The gang members have cheated many youths from various states by promising them jobs in National Health Mission of Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Additional Director General of SOG, Alok Tripathi said.

They took money from job aspirants and issued fake appointment letters to them, he said.

The matter came to light when some candidates approached the NHM Director Rajasthan with such letters, he said.
 

A special team identified the accused and monitored activities in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, he said, adding, raids were conducted today.

The accused is being interrogated, the ADG said, adding that efforts are on to nab other members.
