A man was arrested in Thane in Maharashtra for allegedly assaulting an engineer and trying to ram his motorcycle into him, police said on Friday.
Accused Sunil Pawse was arrested on Thursday, an official said.
"A team of Thane Municipal Corporation engineers were inspecting the waterfront development project which is being built in Kolshet under Smart City initiative. Pawse arrived on a motorcycle and threatened and assaulted engineer Kaustubh Darshane who belongs to a contracting firm," he said.
Pawse was angry that his house had been pulled down for the project, the official said quoting from the complaint filed by TMC executive engineer Mohan Kalal.
"He also tried to ram his motorcycle into Darshane. We have booked Pawse under sections 353, 323, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code for obstructing official work, causing hurt and criminal intimidation," the official informed.
