A woman was raped, allegedly by a youth, in Begusarai district late last night.
The accused Chandan Mahto was apprehended hours later.
Mufassil SHO Rajesh Ranjan said Mahto had barged into the house of the victim when she was alone and forced himself on her.
Mahto was arrested after the victim lodged an FIR alleging rape. "He had forcibly entered the house of the victim by breaking the door when she was alone and then raped her," said Ranjan.
The victim later lodged an FIR with the police and the arrest was made.
She has been sent to hospital for medical tests.
