1 held for selling fake electronic products

Delhi Police today claimed to have busted a racket involved in selling duplicate printer toners and drums of a multinational company with the arrest of a person here in this connection.

"Rupesh Dalmia, a resident of Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, was arrested from Mangaldip Enterprises in Daryaganj after we received specific input about sale of duplicate toners and drums of Panasonic company in the area," Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Alok Kumar said.

As many as 69 duplicate toners and drums with almost genuine looking Panasonic stickers, logo and packaging from Mangaldip Enterprises, owned by Dalmia, were seized during the raid, police said.
 

During interrogation, Dalmia told police that he connived with one Sanjay, who is a supplier of counterfeit items of major companies, and started selling fake Panasonic products.

Efforts are on to nab Sanjay and other people involved in the racket, police said.
