1 killed, 11 students injured as bus overturns; driver flees

A 13-year-old boy was today killed and 11 students of a private school were injured when a mini- bus in which they were travelling overturned in Tonk district, the police said.

The incident happened when the students were returning from the school in the afternoon and the driver allegedly lost control of the mini-bus, the police said.

Seventh grade student, Raghuvendra, was killed as the vehicle overturned and 11 students were injured in the incident, they said.

Six boys and five girls were rushed to a government hospital. Three of the students were referred to Tonk district hospital, police said.
 

The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene after the mishap. The vehicle was seized and cops were looking out for the driver, they said.
