A 27-year-old woman was today killed and 21 others were injured when a private bus in which they were travelling overturned at Kosamghat area in the district, police said.
The mishap occurred this afternoon around 60 kms from here while the driver of the bus, which was on its way to Menhadwani from Shapura, was negotiating a blind turn, Shapura Police Station in-charge, Anil Patel, said.
The woman identified as Nirmala died on the spot and the injured were referred to hospitals in Mandla and Jabalpur for treatment, he said.
According to him, a case has been registered in this regard and investigations are underway.
