A woman was killed and 30 others were injured when the van in which they were travelling to a temple capsized near here today, police said.
The victims of Karaikulam, near Kamuthi in Ramanathapuram District, were on their way to Kollankudi Kaliyamman temple in this district to offer worship on account of new year.
When the van was near Sivaganga, the driver lost control and the van capsized. In this accident, a woman who travelled in the van, died on the spot and other injured 30 persons have been admitted at Sivaganga Government Hospital.
