A person was today killed and five others were seriously injured in a blast at a private fireworks unit at a village near Sivakasi here, police said
They said that the factory at Tiruthangal village had not obtained proper licence.
The exact reason for the blast is not clear yet, police said, adding the injured have been admitted to a government hospital in Sivakasi.
