At least one person was killed and eight others injured today in a gun and suicide attack by three bombers at a football match in the restive tribal region of northwest Pakistan, authorities said.
The incident occurred in Alizai high school ground in central Kurram Agency bordering Afghanistan.
According to eye witnesses, as the match ended three bombers started indiscriminate firing over the crowd.

One attacker was shot dead by security officials, while the other blew up himself. The third bomber who fled from the scene was chased by the police.
Of the eight injured, three were admitted in the hospital and five discharged after first giving medical aid, hospital authorities said.
Following the incident, a large contingent of security forces reached the site and cordoned off the area.
