1 killed as car collides with mini-truck in Punjab

A middle-aged person was killed and two others injured when the car they were travelling in collided with a mini-truck on the Moga-Ludhiana highway, around 10 km from here, police said today.

The incident occurred yesterday when the car, on its way to Chandigarh, collided head-on with a mini-truck killing Jagmeet Singh, police said.

The two injured have been hospitalised and their condition is stated to be stable, they said.

The mini-truck driver fled the spot after the mishap, police said adding that a case has been registered in this connection.
