A blast in the southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta today killed at least one person and wounded 10 others.
The blast in Quetta appeared to have been carried out by planting explosives on a motorcycle on a road leading to the airport, police said.
"Initial investigations show that one person has been killed and 10 injured. The intensity of the blast shattered glasses and windows of nearby buildings and also destroyed three cars and some motorcycles," an official said.
The target of the blast and the motive could not be ascertained and a probe was on, the official said.
Bomb blasts, target killings and sectarian violence are rampant in the troubled Balochistan province with its capital city often bearing the brunt of terror attacks by militants or separatists.
