One person was electrocuted and eight others received serious burn injuries when suddenly some houses in Domanpura locality here received high voltage supply today, police said.
55-year-old Babban Tewari died in the incident, which took place today morning, and eight others received serious burn injuries, they said.
The injured have been admitted to a community health centre, they said.
Meanwhile, infuriated over the incident, locals staged a protest for some time keeping the dead body on the Nagra turn, they said, adding that the locals were later pacified by the officials.
