A PREPAK (People's Revolutionary
Party of Kangleipak) activist was today arrested by police commandos from Bamon Leikai area in Imphal East district, a police release said today.
Following tip off Imphal East police commandos embarked on a search operation at Bamon Leikai area and arrested a member of PREPAK (PRO) during the operation.

The arrested member was identified as Lairenmayum James Singh (30) of Moirang Khunou Bazar who was apprehended from near Loklaobung Bridge in Imphal East district.
On his disclosure two rocket shells fitted with explosive, four sets of assembled dry cell, two transistors, two detonators, and one remote control device were recovered from one Khumukcham Romeo's house of Umathel Makha Leikai in Thoubal district, the release said.
James Singh was allegedly involved in extorting money from the general public.
A case has been registered at Porompat police station.
