: Ten persons, four of them minors, were today arrested in connection with the death of an 18-year-old school boy, who was beaten to death over a quarrel during temple festivities at Vayalar in Alapuzha district.
The attack on the 11th standard student, Ananthu, took place on April 5 night and is said to be sequel to a quarrel between the deceased and some of his classmates, police said.
Police said while four are juveniles, six of the accused are aged between 19 and 20 years.

There are nine other accused in the case and their arrest has not yet been recorded.
A hartal was observed in Alapuzha district today, called by both the ruling CPI(M) led LDF and Congress led UDF, to protest against the incident.
