At least ten people were killed and 16 others injured after an overloaded pickup truck fell into a ravine in Pakistan's northwestern tribal region this evening.
The overloaded pickup truck was on its way to Dowezai area in Mohmand agency from Peshawar when the driver lost control while negotiating a sharp curve and the vehicle fell into the ravine in Shatay Kandao area, killing ten people, officials said.
The victims were going to their hometown for celebrating Eid-ul-Azha when the accident took place.
The injured have been admitted to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar and some of them are stated to be in critical condition.
