10 Maoists including three couples surrender to the police

About 10 Maoists, including a company commander and a deputy commander surrendered before the Gadchiroli police recently, the police announced here today.

There are three couples among the 10 surrendered Maoists, including seven women and three men from various squads and companies, the police said in a release issued here today.

They surrendered before Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police Sandeep Patil on September 2, the release said.

The surrendered Maoist company commander was identified as Jagdish Ranu Kotoya (28) from Etapalli and he belonged to 'Company Four', while his deputy has been identified as Surekha Rajkala Madavi (23) from the Dhanora squad.
 

The surrendered Maoists belonged to the Bhamragarh, Sironcha and Gatta and other squads in the district.
