Swine flu claimed ten more lives in Gujarat today, raising the death toll due to the H1N1 virus to 302 since January this year.
Besides, 172 new swine flu cases were detected across the state today, taking the total number of H1N1 positive cases to 4,065, the statement issued by the Gujarat Health Department said.
"Gujarat has witnessed ten swine flu fatalities today, while the total number of deaths has reached 302," it said.

Two deaths each were reported in Ahmedabad and Kutch districts, while one each was registered in Surat, Gandhinagar, Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha and Patan, it said.
The state government has claimed that 3,638 persons have been cured so far.
Ahmedabad district has registered 83 deaths and 1,773 cases till date, the statement said.
The state government today said in the Assembly that it has taken due steps to curb the infection.
Gujarat Health Minister Nitin Patel said that the government has provided ventilators and cardiac monitors along with the facilities like isolation wards and intensive care units for the swine flu patients in different hospitals.
He said that the patients with H1N1-like syndromes are given free anti-viral medicines.
Meanwhile, lawyers practising in different trial courts in Ahmedabad today remained on leave for the second consecutive day in the wake of the swine flu outbreak.
"As many as 10,000 advocates continued to be on leave for five days that was declared yesterday. If such situation (of swine flu outbreak) persists, then we can also extend it for few days," President at Ahmedabad District Bar Association Rajesh Parekh said.
