BJP Jharkhand unit president Laxman Gilua today said about 100 acres of land has been acquired for the proposed steel plant, to be set up by Vedanta group in Manoharpur, about 120 kilometre from here, in West Singhbhum district.
He said altogether 450 acres of land was required for the proposed steel plant and expressed confidence that the remaining 350 acres of land would be acquired by the end of this month.
Gilua was here to participate in the two-day Executive Committee meeting of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).
The Jharkhand BJP chief told a press conference here that the objective of the BJP-led government was to generate maximum employment opportunities with zero displacement.
He rubbished the opposition allegation that the local youths were not benefited from the domicile policy recently announced by the Raghubar Das-led government.
Gilua said the BJP was working on "one booth, 10 youth" strategy for the Mission 2019 as we have a target to win 60 plus assembly sets out of 81 seats and all the 14 parliamentary seats in Jharkhand in 2019.
