100 persons "forcibly" enter Indian Botanic Garden

The police said they have received a complaint from the director in this regard.

Tension was brewing in the area over re-introduction of entry fee into the garden.

The Indian Botanic Garden or Calcutta Botanical Garden, on the west bank of River Hooghly, is the oldest reserve of greeneries of its kind in South East Asia. It is also a premier Institution for botanical and horticultural research in India.
