The 10th National Coal Wage Agreement is likely to be signed today at the final drafting committee meeting of the Joint Bipartite Committee for the Coal Industry (JBCCI-X).
The pay revision will be applicable to employees of Coal India and Singareni Collieries Company Limited.
The meeting is being held between the trade unions and CIL officials in the presence of CIL chairman Suthirtha Bhattacharya, who retires today.
According to sources, with this wage agreement the additional burden on Coal India is likely to be between Rs 5300-5500 crore.
