"We have arrested 11 dealers for overcharging and other violations of weights and Measures Act," District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan said.
Special market checking squads have been formed with a directive to book unscrupulous traders violating the rate list of essential and other commodities, he said.
Kashmir valley including summer capital Srinagar wore a festive look as people in large numbers thronged the markets to prepare for Eid-ul-Azha which will be celebrated tomorrow.
The special market squads also inspected outlets in other major towns and tehsil headquarters of the valley.
