11 candidates file nomination papers on first day in Rajasthan

Eleven candidates, including two of CPI(M), today filed their papers on the first day of nomination for the December 1 Assembly polls in Rajasthan.

Roshan Lal and Bajanglal Jat of CPI(M) filed their papers from Neem-ka-thana and Ladnu Assembly constituencies respectively, an advisor (PR) at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said here.

Ramlal and Battilal filed their papers from Dungarpur and Tadabheem Assembly constituencies, respectively, on BJP portfolio despite the party's first list of candidates has not been announced from Delhi as of now.

Two candidates -- Surajbhan Dhankia from Rajgarh (Laxmangarh) and Dinesh Ram from Nagaur constituency -- filed their papers on Samajwadi Party portfolio, the advisor said.
 

Five Independents also filed their nomination papers.

Last date of filing nomination papers is November 12, scrutiny of papers will be held on November 13, and the last date of withdrawal of nomination papers is November 16.
