Eleven Indian IT companies will take part in an international exhibition in the Omani capital Muscat next week to showcase their innovative products and solutions.

The 25th International IT, Telecom & Technology exhibition (Comex Business 2015) will be held from April 27-30.

The companies under the Electronics and Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) umbrella will display a wide range of electronic products and solutions.

"India pavilion will highlight innovative IT products & services including software, mobile application and web development, Internet and cyber security, education and digital learning," said ESC.

"The companies will also exhibit enterprises solutions, cloud-based development, portable printers, handheld PDA, ERP solutions, web designing, CCTV solutions, LED display boards," it said.

Noting that it has been facilitating Indian ICT exporters' participation regularly to enhance IT trade cooperation between India and Oman, ESC said this participation indicates the growing interest of Indian companies in the Middle East.

Comex attracts businesses from Middle East and North African countries and provides good platform for business ventures.

"Middle East is one of the fastest growing ICT markets in the world. High growth prevails across all segments and the market is driven by economic diversification and various e-government initiatives including finance, communications, and manufacturing," said D K Sareen, Executive Director ESC.

"The region has robust economies, which despite downturns around the world, continue to enjoy high growth rates. A number of Indian companies therefore find Oman an ideal location for enhancing their businesses," Sareen added.
