Eleven people, including 10 women, were killed today and six others injured when a jeep carrying them rolled down a 300-ft deep gorge at Nathani near famous tourist resort of Naggar, police said.
"The jeep was on way to Nathani, 25 km from here, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it fell into the 300-ft deep gorge along the Beas river," Kullu SP Vinod Dhawan said.
Eleven passengers, including 10 women, all hailing from Nathani, died on the spot, he said.
The six injured were rushed to a hospital in Kullu, the SP said.
