11 killed in road accident in northwest Pakistan

Eleven people were killed and four others injured when a jeep fell into a ravine in a mountainous area of northwest Pakistan today.

The speeding jeep lost control and fell into the deep ravine while taking a sharp turn in Chitral district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, according to rescue officials.

Eleven people were killed on the spot while another four were injured.

The injured were taken to a district hospital for treatment.
