Eleven women inmates have escaped from a shelter house in Bihar's Siwan district district, an officer said.

Apparently peeved with poor quality of food served there, 11 of 19 females lodged there took to heels in the small hours, District Project Officer Rajkumar Yadav said.

A case has been registered in this connection.

Police has launched a search for the escapees.

In a similar incident, nine women had fled from the same shelter house three months back.
