It is suspected that the deceased fell into the pump house of an under-construction water tank while playing on its boundary, police said today.
The daughter of a labourer, she was missing since August 9 and her body was spotted floating in the construction by neighbours yesterday.
The body has been sent for post-mortem, they said, adding that investigations are on into whether a security guard was deputed at the pump house or not.
