Paddy procurement in Punjab has reached 115.90 lakh tonne with 98 per cent of total arrival being bought by government owned agencies.
Out of total purchase, 114.02 lakh tonne was bought government owned procurement agencies including Markfed, FCI, Punsup Punjab Agro while 1.88 lakh tonne was purchased by private traders, an official spokesman said.
He further said farmers were paid Rs 320.65 crore through online payment system so far for crop purchase during the ongoing kharif marketing season.
