Principal Secretary (Revenue and Land Reforms) C. Ashok Vardhan told reporters here that out of 19,698 cases of land disputes, 12,435 of them have been disposed of by the DCLR courts.
The state government had set up revenue courts under the jurisdiction of the DCLR to resolve land dispute cases in a time-bound manner within 90 days.
All the 101 DCLRs have been provided with the required infrastructure and additional training for dealing with land disputes will be provided to these officials.
The district magistrates have been directed to hire peshkars (clerks) and subordinate manpower to the DCLRs to enable them to discharge their duties efficiently, the Principal Secretary said.
Referring to the D Bandopadhyaya land reforms commissions report, he said some recommendations like mutation of land and identification of land voluntarily donated by the land owners have been implemented by the state government.
On transferring land ownership to landless people, he said 2,10,437 families have been identified for entitlement of three decimal land under the Mahadalit Vikas Mission out of which 1,56,897 families have been given 4603.55 acres.
