12 hurt in clash over graveyard land

At least 12 persons were today injured in brick-batting when two groups of the same community clashed following dispute over graveyard land at Chistipur village, police said.

The incident took place when some ruling SP leaders were allegedly trying to grab the land by construction a wall on it, which was opposed by others.

Soon both sides indulged in brick batting and also opened fired at each other, injuring a woman in her leg.

Police said at least 12 persons were injured in the clash.

Superintendent of Police Bharat Singh said force has been deployed in the area to check any untoward incident.
