12 injured as passenger bus rams into truck in Rajasthan

At least 12 people were injured when a private bus they were travelling in allegedly rammed into a standing truck on Jaipur-Kota national highway, police said today.

Twelve people were injured when their private passenger bus rammed into a standing truck from behind today morning on Jaipur-Kota national highway near Ramganjbalaji village in Sadar police station area of the city, SHO Sadar police station Anis Ahemmad said.

Three of the injured are in critical state and have been referred to Maharao Bheem Singh hospital in Kota while the rest are undergoing treatment at a district government hospital, he said.

The bus was travelling from Sikar to Kota and the injured belong to different places in the state, police said.
 

Most of the injured sustained leg fractures, they said.

A case of negligent driving would be lodged against drivers of both the passenger bus and truck as the truck driver had wrongly parked his vehicle on the national highway roadside, Ahemmad said.

The injured include a woman and a jawan, he added.
