A CRPF officer, who happened to be near the area, was among the injured, the sources said.
The police suspect the blast occurred when the owner of the house, who used to allegedly sell gas illegally, was transferring the inflammable substance from one cylinder to another.
The blast destroyed a large portion of the house, police said, adding, the injured were admitted to local hospital at Chandwa.
Fire brigade personnel brought the fire under control.
