The customs authorities have seized 12 kg of heroin, worth about Rs 60 crore in the street market, from a goods train from Pakistan.
During a comprehensive checking of the goods train which had arrived here from Pakistan on February 7, the contraband was recovered today, along with 34 live bullets and 150 gram opium, a customs official said.
Technical staff of Indian Railways also helped in the search, he said.
The official said the search had been on since the train arrived here as there was apprehension of smuggling of narcotics in the train.
