12 killed in separate road mishaps within 12 hours

At least 12 people were killed in separate road mishaps in ISBT area here in less than 12 hours, police said today.

While five persons were killed in the first accident late last night, seven lost their lives in the second road mishap this morning around 10:30.

A speeding Innova car hit the divider of the newly constructed Khandari flyover near ISBT area after the driver lost control over it while trying to save a pedestrian and fell on top of a stationary Alto last night.

Five persons travelling in the Innova were killed on the spot and at least four were injured in the accident, police said.
 

In the second road mishap, a tanker coming from Mathura side hit four auto rickshaws parked on the roadside near ISBT area, killing seven persons.

Five persons suffered serious injuries and were admitted to SN Medical College, police said.
