12 police officers shifted in latest reshuffle

Effecting yet another reshuffle in police department, the state government today shifted a dozen police officials including nine from the Indian Police Service (IPS), an official notification said.

Nagendra Singh, who is the commandant of the Bihar Military Police (BMP)- 8 at Bengusarai has been shifted to Saharsa as the DIG, Koshi range, the notification issued by the Home department said.

Singh's transfer, vide a notification dated October 8 last, as the DIG, Railway, Patna, stands cancelled.

The 1999 batch IPS officer Manju Jha has been shifted from her present posting as the BMP-15 commandant at Bagaha and made the DIG, Railway at Patna. An earlier notification posting her to Saharsa at the DIG, Koshi range, has been cancelled.
 

Lalan Mohan Prasad, who is the commandant of BMP-6 at Muzaffarpur has been entrusted with additional charge as the SP(Railway), Muzaffarpur, while Rajiv Ranjan, who is serving as the SP (Special Branch at Patna), will be the new Kishanganj SP.

His earlier transfer to Sheikhpura in the same capacity stands cancelled.

Begusarai SP Manoj Kumar has been given additional charge as the commandant of BMP-8 at Begusarai, while Sanjay Kumar, who is the principal of Constable Training School (CTS) at Nath Nagar in Bhagalpur, has been given additional charge as the commandant-cum-principal of the CTS at Simultallah, while Buxar SP Jayant Kant gets additional charge as the commandant of BMP-4 at Dumraon and principal-cum-commandant of Bihar Military Police (BMP) training centre at Dumraon.

Naveen Chandra Jha, who had taken over charge as Kishanganj SP only yesterday, has been sent in the same capacity to Sheikhpur, while Hari Prasad S. Gets additional charge as the commandant of BMP-15 at Balmiki Nagar, Bagaha in addition to being Bagaha SP.

The state government has also transferred three Bihar Police officials - Stayanarayan Kumar, Saifurrahman and Manish Kumar in the latest reshuffle.
