Twelve school students were injured, some of them seriously, when the bus carrying them fell in a roadside ditch in Khagaria district of Bihar today, the police said.
The accident happened near KDS College in the district and the students have been admitted to government hospital there.
Gogri Station House Officer (SHO) Shri Prasad said the bus was coming from Jamalpur area after collecting the students.
"The accident happened when a goat suddenly came on the road. The driver swerved the bus to one side to save it, and lost control of the vehicle in the process. The bus went off the road and rolled down in a ditch," Prasad said.
The police has seized the vehicle, while the bus driver has escaped.
