Displaying tremendous grit, a 17-year-old boy suffering from failure of both kidneys, scored 96 per cent marks in science in Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, prompting the state government to offer him free of cost kidney transplantation.
Prabhakar, son of an LIC agent, stood fifth in the state merit list of Intermediate examination, whose results were declared yesterday.
Describing as remarkable the boy's achievement, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has assured the middle-class family that his government will provide all possible help, an official spokesperson said.
