Police investigating the Kodanadu burglary and murder case, today made an attempt to question a former maid servant of late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in connection with the case but could not extract anything from her, police said.
Police located the woman, who is said to have worked for some years as servant for Jayalalithaa, in an estate area but they could not not extract anything from her as she appeared to be "mentally disturbed," police said.
Nilgiris District SP Murali Rambha, who already questioned Sayan, an accused undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Coimbatore, had yesterday ruled out any political link to the burglary. She had said money and valuables were the motive behind it.
Meanwhile, 13 CCTVs have been installed in and around the bungalow, police said, adding, there would also be 24-hours patrolling.
