The Bihar Police today raided six private hospitals and arrested 13 fake doctors and medical staff in two towns in Bagaha sub-division of West Champaran district.
Bagaha Superintendent of Police (SP) Shafiul Haq said the raids were conducted after receiving several complaints about the hospitals running in Bagaha and Rampur towns.
"We raided six private hospitals and arrested altogether 13 doctors and paramedics working there. None of them have MBBS or other relevant qualifications. A large quantity of medicines and medical equipment has also been seized," Haq said.

The SP said the "fake doctors and medical staff" were indulging in fleecing innocent patients of their money and also endangering their lives.
"All the arrested will be produced before the court. We will continue the crackdown against such fake medical establishments and doctors," Haq added.
