Police said the bus, which was travelling at a high speed, swerved on a side at Benfish More of the satellite township Salt Lake falling under North 24 Parganas district, trapping the passengers inside.
Locals and police rescued the passengers and 13 were taken to Bidhannagar State General Hospital with injuries.
