13 killed as tractor-trolley fells in gorge in Gujarat

At least 13 people were killed today and 30 others injured when a tractor-trolley they were travelling in, overturned in Gujarat's newly formed Aravalli district, police said.

The victims were on their way to Sandhasan village to attend a condolence meeting of a dead relative.

As the vehicle was passing through the hilly curve on the on Bhiloda-Vijaynagar road, the driver lost control and the tractor-trolley fell in a nearby gorge, they said.

Two of them died on the spot while others died during treatment in various hospitals.

Out of the total 30 injured, the condition of 11 were said to be serious, police said, adding they have been admitted to Himmatnagar civil hospital.
 

Some of the deceased have been identified as Jevrdhanbhai, (driver), Ramjibhai Babubhai, Danjibhai, Chandubhai, Neteshbhai, Jivaji, Bhudaji, Jitubhai, Mavjibhai, and Maganbahi. All of them were from Damore family from Knadal and surrounding villages in the district.
