13 women robbed of gold chains at religious ceremony in Raj

Unidentified persons snatched gold chains from thirteen women and looted Rs 21,000 cash at a ceremony of the Jain community in Dadabari area of the city, police said today.

Thousands of people of the community had assembled at RAC ground here yesterday for 'Jain Muni Picchika' ceremony where gold chains of 13 women were snatched and Rs 21,000 cash looted from three men, SHO Dadabari police station Nathulal said.

Based on their complaints, three cases have been lodged against unidentified persons in this connection, the SHO said, adding that further investigation is on.

All complainants hail from Kota city and adjoining areas.
 

No arrests have been made so far, police said.
