Over 134 kg of ganja valued at around Rs 26.85 lakh and concealed in fly ash bricks, was seized by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence Tuesday from a truck in Vijayawada.
Based on specific intelligence, DRI officers intercepted the truck, carrying fly ash bricks which was destined to Madurai and on suspicion broke one brick to find a packet of ganja, a release from the DRI's (Hyderabad Zonal Unit) said here.
Subsequently the remaining fly ash bricks were broken and a total of 65 packets of ganja, weighing 134.27 kg was found and seized under NDPS Act, it said.
Three people have been detained for further questioning, it said.
