Two ganja peddlers have been arrestedand 14 kg of the contraband, worth Rs four lakh, seized near Devanahalli here, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said today.
The arrests were made by the NCB's Bangalore Zonal Unit which yesterday intercepted the car the duo was travelling in on NH 7, near the Devanahalli-Doddaballapur crossing here.
The ganja was sourced from Visakhapatnam and was supposed to be sold to customers here, the NCB said in a statement, adding that the two "main" ganja peddlers had smuggled the contraband into the city on several occasions in the past.
The two were produced before the NDPS(Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Court which remanded them to judicial custody.
