On a tip off, a naka was laid and the car intercepted, in which Musmi Zafro, his relative Yameen Khan and another youth were traveling, near BPTP bridge, police said.
However, the accused attempted to ram into the police party to evade them and sped away, they said, adding that the car landed into a ditch shortly.
While the trio escaped to a nearby village, 14 kg of ganja and a country-made pistol along with three cartridges were recovered from the vehicle during a search.
