At least 14 people were killed and 40 others injured when an 18-wheel truck and a tour bus carrying students on a sightseeing trip collided in Thailand's central Prachin Buri province early this morning.
The bus was taking students from Ban Dong Lob school on a sight-seeing trip to Chomthien Beach, Pattaya.
The bus lost control after its brake system malfunctioned while it was cruising down a mountain road and crashed into the rear of the truck, police said.
Eleven people were killed on the spot and three others died at the Nadee hospital, reports said.
